Id like to give Cracker something safe to keep him busy whilst we are out or when we would like some peace for half an hour. Would a butchers bone (raw) be best? which type? is it safe to leave him with it? Thanks, Lisa.

I feed my dogs raw and give them raw bones to chew at however I would never ever leave them unsupervised with bones.  Shin bones and knuckle bones are fine but should be taken away once the marrow/meat/cartilage has been removed as they can break their teeth trying to eat them.  Never give cooked bones.

If you want to keep him busy whilst you are out I would stuff a kong; it is much safer.
