Hi there, I have just purchased my first puppy - a handsome tri-colour basset. The breeder had him on four meals a day - three of Royal Canin and one of Forthglade Menu. Is this a good diet to keep him on and when I reduce him to three meals I take it I just add more to the Royal Canin meals and leave the Forthglade on the menu?

Any advice would be welcome. Also, as the puppy is 10 weeks old what treats should I used to help train him? He finds it difficult to chew chewy things at the moment and I don't want to start on the Chocolate Drops.

The best thing is to follow your breeders advice as long as the pup appears to be doing well on it :) Ask him/her for their advice and follow that.
