I used it once at a dog show and my 11 year old was so hyper, never again.  But yes most dogs do seem to adore it :d

I use it with all my dogs (2 border collies a westie and a shih tzu) and they all love it. Have never had any ill effects and was recommended it by our puppy class leader. they certainly do good recall!

It is lungs, the dogs love them and they are dried to very healthy as are the tripe bits also sold by Webbox.  However the paddywhack is fried tendons and so the dogs will be getting extra fat if you use this.

the jerky is a big hit with my collie, she really thrives on it, it is so big in her life as a treat, when she wakes up of a morning she sits outside my mums bedroom door waiting for her to give her the jerky, when she has been stubborn or choosy and doesnt eat her dinner we break up jerky and stir it in then she laps it up.
the pup has a go but i think its too hard for her yet.

Can you tell me if it is fattening as Barney is on a diet and am wondering what to give him as a small treat so he doesnt think we are starving him :p Anything else that isnt fattening for a treat would be much appreciated too.

hi

i don't think its fattening if given in moderation the packet contains large pieces which you can break really easily into small pieces, its great to take with you on a walk as its dry and the dog can crunch it up easily and they just love it, it costs around 80p for a bag from tescos which can last longer than a week!  JWB do low fat treats as do a lot of the other good brand names

All fruit bar grapes can be given as treats if your dog likes them as can most veggies, dogs love carrots.  Jerky and tripe are not particularly fattening as they contain no added fat and have no added sugars etc in them unlike a lot of dog "treats".  You could also give dried or cooked liver.
