Hi,

What signs will the bitch show on the correct days to mate? I have the stud dog at home with me, what would be the best days to try?

Both my dogs have been health screened, and my girl is 4 years old, this will be her first litter.

It can vary dramaticly from breed to breed and from dog to dog
I always mate days 9,11 and 13  if using my own stud but if travelling day 10 and 14 but only if the bitch is standing if in doubt i get a ovulation swab taken.
the safest way is to try showing the bitch to the dog every other day from day 8 with two handlers present and both dogs on a lead ,they will let you know when they are ready as the bitch will be standing.
