Can anyone offer me any advice, my Dobie puppy has a patch on top of her head where the fur looks quite thin and the skin underneath looks a little dry, this looks worse when in bright day light it doesn't look so obvious in doors.  She has no other areas like this anywhere else on her body.  When I got my first Dobe his fir around his head and ears initially looked thin but soon thickened up.  The area does not bother her at all (she's not scatching it etc).  Any suggestions welcome.

Have you tried ringing your vet to see what they suggest or maybe the breeder you got her from. They know the breed and may have had others with the same condition.
