We have been fortunate enough, not to have to leave our puppy, except for short spells to get her use to the idea.
Hubby takes her to work the three days I work, but when she is home with me or at work with him,she sleeps a lot of the time,so if you are walking her,now she is 12wks,before you leave for work and again when you get home,I don't see any problems.
Give her some safe toys and maybe a kong filled with tasty treats or a bit of her meal to keep her attention.
Lots of people have to work! and even if they don't,it doesn't always make them a good puppy/dog owner :)
The fact that you are even concerned enough to pose this question makes me feel you really care for your pups welfare.
Why not register on here,it is full of good advice and we all need some of that at times :)

I think it is better to start leaving your puppy for short amounts of time while he / she is still young , this way they grow up with it being part of their life. How cruel would it be to never be apart from them for ten years and then have to leave them for three hours a day? the poor dog wouldn't understand why it was suddenly without its mum. i think you are doing the right thing - My Welsh Terrier doesn't bother being left alone for a few hours a day ( sleeps most of the time!! ) unlike my neighbour's two dogs who bark constantly from the time he leaves till he comes back! they used to have somebody with them all day till his wife sadly died a few years ago.
