I was just watching a program on house auctions and one of the houses being auctioned used to be a "world class dog breeder" it didn't mention the breed at all, but did say it was being sold because she'd passed away.
It was in a place called Shalden or Sholden or something like that in Devon just wondered if anyone knew who it was, just being nosy really.

Ooh my childrens grandparents live in Shaldon so I will ask them. It's hardly a big place so they are bound to know, added to which they have lived in the same house for about 30yrs!
Someone else is bound to come along soon who knows. I wish I had seen the programme now. It's unlike Grandma not to point me in the right direction of being nosey!

I missed the end of it. Did the chap manage to get planning permission for the two houses he wanted to build on the site ?. Thanks.

If its a small place I would have thought their bound to know of the house at least, it is in a very prominant position looking over the estuary and down into the harbour next to the main road into Shaldon.
It was a really ugly house built in the sixties with lots of white u.p.v.c cladding but it had the most fabulous views you could imagine, a builder bought it for £304,000 and put it straight back up for sale for £425,000!! alright for some isn't it.

p.s the planning department said it was very unlikely he'd get permission for the flats or houses

The house that was on t.v was the BAYTOR kennel owned by the last Anita Westlake she bredd Chow Chows and Bulldogs Anita was a Champshow judge and Judge at CRUFTS.
Hope this helps
