My dog has recently stoppped eating dry food. I used to give him a equal ratio of tinned and try food, but lately has refused to eat going for days without touching a drop. So I have given in and i am just giving him the only tinned food that he will eat. The only problem i have with feeding him tinned is that Im worried about his teeth, and also the food that he will only eat is a really value(cheap)tin that is made with gravy. He has stopped eating all food that is not in gravy, i have went round all the brands and he is just being soooo fussy.
I have read on the site people talking about burns, what is it and wher do you get it form.

Burns is a very good dry food (in my oppinion). However, as you say that your dog has gone off dry food, you could try 'Nature Diet' which is a complete wet food. It is full of all the good stuff and is free from all the rubbish found in some other tinned foods. Try www.Naturediet.com. The big 'Pets at Home' shops also usually stock this food. Im sure someone else will be along soon to advise further. Lise

Guest, have a look at the thread in 'General' then 'Border Collie Owners', they are discussing Naturediet on that.

Hi, you can order Burns here - http://www.burns-pet-nutrition.co.uk/products.html
Some tinned foods can be fed on their own, but most of the cheapos are supposed to be fed with a mixer and they aren't a balanced diet without it. If you want him to eat a complete food and he liks gravy you can make him some to put over the kibble (stock thickened with a bit of cornflower).
If your dog is a fussy feeder, he will probably love something new - Burns or anything else - for a few days and then turn his nose up at it. All you can do is harden your heart and remind yourself that no healthy dog will starve itself to harm though some do a very good impersonation! My breed is famous for fussy feeding so I know only too well! This is what I do. Put down a full ration of the food YOU want him to eat for 15 minutes. Then lift it. Next time put down half as much and ditto. Continue until gets hungry enough to eat the half ration. Then increase the food until he is eating all you want him to. If he leaves some, cut back the ration until he clears his bowl, then increase again.
Good luck!
