Hi Margot
If you've got to get up at 5.45 am on Sunday morning I definitely recommend a Bombay Sapphire & tonic!
It's not midnight for 10 minutes yet ... it'd be wrong not to. :D
Meal sounded gorgeous.
Jo :)

Hey, good going Margot!
Good luck with the eating-out-thing Daisy. It shouldn't be too hard - just go for the healthiest options you can find. Failing that, say you've got a nut allergy and demand soup. :D
:D @ Brihow. Sorry, is it starting to show? It's all Lel's fault though - it was her idea. :D
Jo

Jo,
You're mad as a hatter! Hope the madness rubs off and we all do well :D

I was 13 1/2 stone last time I weighed myself a few weeks ago,(well, new year)
Going to weigh myself tommorow. Although it will be after work, but then again, I will have eaten healthily all day, and we are shifting slabs and digging out, so going to be hard labour all day.

I feel really good today :D :D :D
Had herbal life protein plus with yoghurt raspberries & banana (2 portions of fruit ;) ) in a smoothie for breakfast, herbal life pp in vegetable soup lunch time, went for a 20min walk (walked for 10 mins up through the city til my timer went off, then 10 mins back). Tonight I have had 3 slices of roast lamb, NO roasties, but roasted veggies (carrots, leeks, peppers & tomatoes). No wine (yesterday or today) but I am going to have a low calorie belgian chocolate drink any minute now.
Very smug Margot :D :D :D

Well I was having a good day until Tara decided to nip daughter's boyfriend's leg :( No damage done - but I was not a happy bunny :( Every time that we think that we are getting somewhere, we seem to go back to square one. So had a piece of Xmas cake :( :( Have just come back from agility , so have done a bit of running this evening.

Sorry to hear about Tara's misdeeds, Daisy - does she just get tooo excited???
I'm always very aware that I have to keep Vinnie and Loki very very calm before we go into a show - they get so keyed up!!! If you've just been to training, maybe she too was up on a high?
You'll have worn off the calories in the Christmas cake with worry!! :D
Margot
Hi everybody, sorry I'm late for check-in. Please count me in.
Current weight: Not exactly sure as got no scales but about a month ago was 16'3"
Target: 14 stone for starters and then 12 stone once I've got that far (need to go for something achievable to start off with!)
Weakness: Takeaways, whether kebabs, Chinese, Indian or pizza's. I cook for the kids and then can't be bothered to do anything for myself later. Also get to eat free in the Restaurant at work, so smoked salmon starters and steak with pepper sauce far too often ... and the toffeanna pies .... YUUUMMMYYY! This is going to be harder than I thought :-(
Method:Weight Watchers
Goal: To buy some new clothes (refuse to buy size 20's, lol)
Goddess moment: Sorry but this is a family-accessible site! :-D
Will post exact weight tomorrow after borrowing broth-in-laws scales again (will also go and buy some this week).

Well done Champ-goddesses - keep it up!!
I've managed to stay on the straight and narrow myself, though have been tempted by a particularly yummy bottle of organic chardonnay that needs 'using up' before we move this weekend. :D Have resisted though - despite blasted agents of current house attempting to screw an additional month's rent out of us. Pah! Wait until I tell them that Cam the wonder-dog has a black belt in karate :D
Only another 5 full days to go before our first virtual weigh-in <excited gasps>. As you should be aware, I'll post the results on the forum - but only indicate how much people have lost, not their current weight (if for some reason you don't want to be mentioned at all, PM me before Sunday. :) ). For info, there are now 25 participants on the goddess programme.
In the meantime ... lets make like goddesses (and god) and liven things up a little! Who's willing to take on a Workplace Goddess Dare? Be warned - this dare is designed to sort out the women from the girls. :D
The dare is:
When someone hands you a piece of paper, finger it, and whisper huskily, "Mmmmmmm, that feels soooooo good!".
C'mon girlies ... zigazigaah!! :D

<<<<<<<Workplace Goddess Dare? >>>>>>>>
I dont think that will go down very well with my boss, who also just happens to be my DAD!!!!!!!!
(and there is only my dad, me and one part timer!!!!!!)
Oh and the customers are mainly elderly!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO
Lea :)
I'd probably end up with a paper cut!!
Er .... Jo what do you do when one of the chaps at work reports you for harassment because you fondled the paper? Some people have no sense of humour!

Nice one Eddie! You are Tuesday's official Champ-goddess!! :D
Welcome to the gang Helen - your vital statistics have been duly noted. Fear not, we are all in this together!
How's everybody doing? Any major slips or do we have some contenders for serious weight loss this week?

I have turned down a bar of chocolate 3 evenings in a row and had fruit instead. The extra walking had me knackered for a day or two but I'm definately feeling better for it today. Thank you Jo :)

Well, if I had lost a pound for every time I've told myself "you ARE a Goddess" so far this week, I'd be well on my way already ..... ;)
Hope your move goes well, and hope we all reward your nutty motivation with good weight losses on Sunday.
Marina
i had an aero today... it looked miserable and lonely, it deserved to be eaten... :D ah well

Mostly air, so no calories ......... that's how it works, isn't it?

:D :D @ everyone
Well done everybody that has been steely-willed this week. Fear not those that haven't - get in an extra 45 minute walk and we'll forget about the Aero. :D
We're nearing the end of our first week now, and facing the prospect of our first weekend - which will inevitably be full of temptation of the calorific sofa-slumping kind. To get you in the zone and ready to face any challenge Mr Cadbury throws at you, I want you to assume the personality of Austin Powers and repeat the following phrase when you first look in the mirror after lunch tomorrow:
"You're switched on! You're smashing! You're shagadelic, baby!"
Oh, go on. You know you want to. ;) :D

I am doing well :)
Salad for lunch. healthy dinners.
No alcohol.(and after the amount I drank, thats good.
Thinking of doing the weighin on Sat each week. As my treat is, Saturday night I have a bottle of wine.
I actually find, as I am not drinking in the evenings, I am not getting hungry either.
Bet after all of this, I wont have lost any weight at all this weekend!!!!!!!!!!

I have a feeling that I'm not losing much :( Had a bad start to the week and then I always put on at least a couple of pounds mid-month - but finally got the running machine out yesterday, so am building up slowly on that - not that I ever run on it :D Must weigh myself Sunday morning as my sister and husband are coming for lunch.
Daisy
ive been spending a rather large amount of time on the weighing scales since i got them and have discovered that i vary 3lbs during the day, depending on how recently i've eaten/gone to the toilet... is this normal ?
i used to be a member of a gym and there was no way i would run on a running machine - ony ever walked - i was always concerned at the volume of the noise of my thumping away like an elephant and was also worried about getting slapped in the face by my boobs... anyone else braver than me ?
sarah
x

You are ment to weigh yourself in the mornings only. Your weight will vary if you have just eaten, so don't depress yourself by finding you have put on weight since before breackfast and after lunch!!!
