Our vet has perscribed Aloe Vera Gel for our Maltese who has severe pancreatitis. I was just wondering if any of you had any experience of it good or bad.Many Thanks.

Is he taking it internally,i always though that was dangerous unless you are feeding the "juice" please enlighten me :) I have found aloe vera to be brill. on itchy skin,very soothing.

Although I have never used it on my dogs - I have been on an aloe vera course (only 1 day) but heard some very interesting things & saw some excellent slides.
I have however had dealings with a lot of people who use it, both for humans & dogs & I have never heard a bad word about it, only comments about what an excellent healing product it is.
One dog I know had severe lameness from a young pup & was under specialists at the RVC for months. The owner decided to start the youngster on Aloe vera & the improvements were fantastic.  :)

Hi Aloa can come in juice form to be taken internally or gel form to be used on the skin, externally. It`s very good stuff, I have a few growing in the garden & just break a piece off & use it direct from the plant.  :)
