Hi all, i am desperatly trying to get to crufts on saturday to see all the working dog's and the Bullies :D , my problem is though, i do not drive and i have checked with the trains and the only one i can find is charging me £124.00 :O . Does this seem right or can anyone offer any advice about other ways of getting there, i have tried my local travel excursions but no-one is running from here, any advice will be greatfully appriciated, thank-you Emma.

Where are you coming from?
You could see if there is anyone on here coming your way and maybe try to share petrol parking fees
and both have company.

Hi Miss Naughty
If you look
Here you can put in details of your journey from Eastbourne to Birmingham International and then get the fares. The best it is offering is a Super Saver day return on Saturday 6th, leaving at 6 in the morning and getting there for just after 10am and returning at 6pm for £54.20, which is still expensive, but a lot less than £120 which is just extortionate :o No wonder you don't want to pay it!!!! £18 like Liberty would be much much better though ;)
Hope you find a way to get there!
Lesley
I'm travelling up Wed pm and returning Fri pm, so perhaps it's cheaper as it's not on the weekend. Also was advised to buy two single tickets, as the return tickets were more expensive

It's just madness! I went back to the Rail site and I could travel from the north of Scotland to Crufts for £48 return if I booked now, but could buy 2 single tickets for £19 each! But if Miss Naughty wanted to buy single tickets for her journeys they would cost nearly £50 each :o Where's the sense in that

No wonder people aren't flocking in droves to use trains :)

Seems a very excessive price Miss Naughty :(
Do National express do a coach ?

Yes, I too bought 2 singles - total of £16 from York, instead of £42 if I'd bought a return travelling on the same trains!!

Hi LF, thank-you for the idea of the saver return, it looks as though that is going to be my cheapest option :-( , was hoping to save more money to spend at cruft's lol. That is alot better than the 120.00 though, i have tried all the coaches, buses etc but none going from here :-( , if anyone else has any other ideas before i am still open to offers, thank-you so much all, Emma.
theres a coach going on gundog day the ladys name is maria and she is lovely. its in the friday ad dont know price but its very cheap. i went from hove they have a few pick up points on the way. look under the dog section. it might be worth ringing her as she might know some one thats going from your area
