I've got my driving test tomorrow, and am starting to feel the nerves already.  I don't think I'm quite ready for it, haven't practised a manouver for about 3 weeks and they are my weak point.  Don't think I'm going to pass so I'm looking at it as an experience - hopefully it will help me know what to expect second time round.

Fingers crossed though!!

Fingers crossed.

You will be fine but remember to breath, stay calm and don't panic if something minor goes wrong.

Good luck

Charanda,  Be positive of course your pass. Then you can give us all a lift to crufts and then off for a tipple.  Nice

You'll be fine.  But remember, as a woman, any hazard you come across - have a think then do the opposite of what you first thought.

Oh, and put your lipstick on BEFORE you set off.

Only joking.  Deep breaths and positive thinking.  Let us know when you PASS

Joe :)

Thank you all - I've got a lesson tonight and then one tomorrow morning before my test to hopefully iron out any last problems.

I'll  have to let you all know how I've done on Thursday as I've got the rest of the day off work in order to either celebrate or comiserate with alcohol!!!

Good luck, hope it goes better than mine!
Mine was booke for today at 3:27 but the bloody examiners decided to strike and it was cancelled!!!
God knows how long I'll have to wait now. And I could have been a legal driver by now!

took my test 3 years ago..had a lesson before hand and did everything wrong!! Failed the parallel park, hit the kerb on the 3 point turn and was basically c##p!! However passed the test with flying colours..so don't worry ..just think if you fail its good practice for the next time LOL....but I'm sure you won't!!
Let us know how you get on

Well, I got a call yesterday morning at 8.30 to tell me that my test was cancelled - not due to the strike but apparently three examiners had gone down with the same virus (probably called wanting an extra day off after the strike)!! and they couldn't find any replacements!!

I've now got to wait until another test date is sent through to me - have been told it will be within the next couple of weeks.

Its a shame as I was all geared up for the test and had got myself all calm and composed, still on the bright side it gives me an extra week or so to get some more practice in!!

Thanks for your support though, I'm just going to have to wait a bit longer before I start dusting down my riding boots!!

Hi Charanda, when the next time comes why don't you try some Bach's Rescue Remedy for your nerves.  You can get it from the chemist.  It always works at calming me down a bit.  Good luck and let us know how you get on.

That's such a shame Charanda but good luck with the test when you sort out a new date!  At least it sounds as if you might have a chance of getting your riding boots on - I've obviously put on more weight than I thought and there's not a hope :)
Best wishes
Alex

The boots will fit however I couldn't get my old jods up above my knees when I tried them on the other day!!  I think I was a size 8 when I used to ride - now a size 16, thats like two of the old me!!
