Topic Dog Boards / General / First Aid Courses for Dogs???
- By jasper [gb] Date 15.02.04 17:33 UTC
Hi all,

May seem really silly......... but here goes.  Does anyone no of any courses that are held in regards to first aid on your pet.  I've looked all over and it seems that most colleges will only hold such a course for around twelve people and I'm only me not twelve.  Any ideas, pointers of info would be gratefully received.

Thanks Guys

Jasper

Why don't you get a group of 12 people together?

Once a club that we are involved in held a first aid course for dogs which many people were interested in so I think you would have no-problem getting local people (pet people aswell) to be interested.  I found the course REALLY helpful and it was only basic.

The College of Animal Welfare (based at Wood Green A.S) in Godmanchester, Huntingdon run Animal First Aid courses on a regular basis, these are well worth doing. Also check with your local vets as some will run their own lectures if there is enough interest.

Hiya.

Just found this in Dog World, Animal First Aid Course. 25th February at Huntington, Cambs and another on 2nd March at Tyne and Wear for a brochure or to reserve a place: 0870 062 1122  or email at coures@caw.ac.uk. This is with College of Animal Welfare.

Hope this helps.
