If he will only go in the garden he is not trained to go on demand! He is only trained to go on demand in the garden; it is essential to generalise training so that he WILL go on demand anywhere; this may take some time and so you need to be in a situation where time is NOT of the essence until the dog WILL eventually go outside and then huge rewards. Take him round some trees etc so that he is encouraged to cock his leg over others :D
Id like to add he will go in other peoples garden when we are visiting and he will use both of our gardens both front and back

Well if he goes in your Garden and Gardens where you visit, what is the problem IF ONLY MINE WERE LIKE THAT!!!
No joke doing poo pick up while walking five dogs and then trying to find a bin to put the poo bags in :D

My rottie cross who is nearly 7 does that. Will go in my garden, my mums garden, and that is it!!!!!!!! She will hold it all day rather than go to the toilet anywhere other than my garden(used to be in the house as well!!!!)
She has never been any different, even from a pup.
Maybe its just something to do with Rottoies.

lea, my rottie must be different than the rest, she goes everywhere (not in the house) when ever we are out on walks within 5 mins of walking she has to go,
poop bins are a blessing in disguise :D :D

Thats was like Beano (Am cocker) but since being 'done' he doesnt seem as bad.
Only thing is. I never carried poop bags before I got Beano, as I knew Gemma wouldnt do anything.
But now have pockets full of them!!!!!!!!!!

Willis was the same until he hit maturity. It was a blissful time - no worrying ahbout taking bags with me and carrying home something warm and squishy :D :D
Absolutely :D
My dog does mostly go in our garden, but maybe 3 times out of 10 goes on a walk. It is soooooo much easier when she does it in the garden!!!

Yep! I'm hoping to get mine trained to only go on command so she can do it in the garden before her walk... no more poo bags or people tutting at us :o

But still take poobags in case of emergencies ... if only to offer (with a superior smirk! ;) ) to another 'jobbing' owner ...

:D of course!
I think I will always have a poo bag in my pocket and wet wipes in my handbag :)

Is that what you ladies carry in your handbags? Us poor men have to find a convenient blade of grass! ;)

Dock leaves are a handy size ...

I wish mine would only go in the garden.
You take her for a walk and put her in the garden and she waits till she comes in the house to do it on her toilet. she is 11 weeks old.
