I've jusy read an article in the paper about puppies from a cross breeding a  french Bulldog and a Shih tzu. The've called them Bull shih tzu, The puppies look sooooo cute.

Read a piece in the Mail about them - the owner is quoted as saying she thinks they are the first of this "new breed", and supposedly a KC spokesman saying "whilst we cannot be entirely sure this is the first cross breed of its kind that we know of".  Usual cutesy photo, but it does add that the mum  (Shih Tzu) had to have a caesar, and 2 pups were lost, leaving 3.  Dad just looks a pup himself, but photos can be deceptive.

If a KC spokesman did say that I am not surprised, why would the KC be interested in stupid people breeding cross breeds. There will have been accidental mating of this type but most people would keep their mouths shut about it, not phone the local and national paper and brag about it. Guess it is all working up to the normal press nonsense we get around Crufts.

Should we start taking bets on when we get the first post here "Wanted Bull shit pup"?

I would like to see what that looks like.....You would think if someone was planning on doing a cross like that the frenchy would of been the bitch....Poor pup won't no if it should have long or short hair, why would anyone want to cross a frenchy with a shih tzu Bad enough they are crossing boston's with pugs, why why why!!! :(

The article suggests that it was an accident, but mentions they had been flirting for quite a while!  Pics of the pups show not yet got eyes open - so all pups are cute at that age, aren't they?  You can fullly understand why she had a C section, cant you?

Most frenchies as well as boston's need c-sections in the first place, with out a doubt I would figured that this bitch would of, frenchies are soo much bigger then a shihtzu :( Just so sad...you would think if they were planning on crossing such breeds they would stick to the same look and hair type.

There was an article in my local paper apparently they are from essex.Great big full page story.They are keeping one want nice homes for the other two.At a massive price i should think.The paper thinks its cool  and reckons its going to be the new craze.LIttle dog with funny name.Sounds like a complete load of bull**** to me.All the paper have done is make them more popular.Perhaps its me but people are weird.Anyone can breed a dog and give it a funny name.There are sprolly puppies advertised on one site.springers /collies.I might think up a really cool one and make loads of money.
