might be of interest but i used the canine herpes vaccination on my last bitch and she had a lovely litter of puppies, the vaccine is supposed to help prevent passage of the canine herpes virus to the puppies and also encourages more even litter of size and weight it also covers the pups agianst some types of other viruss i did alot of reserch before using it but in france the vets use it on all brood bitches i think sometimes we are livingin the dark ages in this country as alot of breeders are not willing to change their ways (see pankington kennels for more info), some breeders think its acceptable to lose half thier litter repeatedly even though the bitch may have herpes adn somthing can be done to prevent it.

I have 2 females in whelp at the moment, both have had the CHV injections. In the past I have had fairly high mortality rates in puppies so it will be interesting to see what happens this time. I have heard of very good results after using CHV vaccine. I will report back in a few weeks time.
