Sheena has arrived and she is all I could have hoped for.  She is soooo beautiful  She arrived in Great Falls at 4:40pm.  She had started her journey at 7:25am.  Her blanket that she was shipped with was only slightly damp.  She wasn't the least bit dirty from her long journey.  She immediately had something to eat and drink and then went and had a long potty.  She didn't fight the collar at all.  and she followed me and my husband really well and didn't fight the leash at all.  She was not the least bit shy and comes when called.  She is going to be 8 weeks on Saturday so needless to say I am more than impressed.  Right now she is curled up under my computer where we have placed a comfortable mat for her.  She has a ton of toys on the floor but she just doesn't want to leave my side and as long as I am at the computer she is curled up underneath it.  That alone surprises me.

I will say this to anyone thinking of getting a puppy.  It is so worth it to put the time and effort in to find a caring reputable breeder.  And if you are lucky enough to find one that has the talents mine obviously had with puppies then your pup will be every bit worth the money and time.  Now it is my turn to put in the time and training a pup of this caliber deserves.  I am the happiest woman on earth now.

Thank you all for your responses.  She is a white german shepherd.  And yes the quiet has ended and we are on a battle of wills now.  LOL.  She is from warm South Carolina and now she is in cold Alberta Canada.  So needless to say she does not want to go in the potty pen outside in the snow.  So every 15 minutes I take her outside.  She refuses to go and then she is back in her crate.  When she does finally go she will have a long play time and such for about 2 hours supervised and then she will be taken out and the cycle begins agian.  She will learn quickly though.  She has already learned that if she wants to be petted she has to sit beside me.  Jumping up only has us ignoring her.  So now she sits to be petted.
