I'm looking for a choc lab puppy (bitch) available after April 7. Must have good hip score, have been eye-tested and with a certificated pedigree. Good price paid. Preferably not too far from London.Email dick.bates@guardian.co.uk.Thanks

Unfortunately, you will not be able to buy a puppy that has been hip scored and eye tested. As far as I know, these tests are not normally carried out until the puppy is at least a year to two years old? You should be able to buy a puppy from scored and tested parents though.
Contact the breed club on 01279 655937 who may be aware of litter availability :-)

Puppies can be eye tested whilst in the litter, this is done at about 6 weeks of age. They can only however be tested for Total Retinal Dysplasia (TRD) and Multifocal Retinal Dysplasia (MRD) at that age. Most breeders do not eye test litters. I have had litters screened in the past but not always.
