the pei are in the ring at 10!!!! if you wait until one i'll probably be in a que for the loo :)

Right, it'll have to be meet at DD with Brainless then ... this is too good an opportunity to pass on

D'oh! :o You can tell I have the mind-set of a "numerically stronger" breed! One o'clock is when the judge breaks for lunch between the dogs and the bitches (if there's time to spare!) with my lot!

Emma - please come over & see us - I don't know in which hall Boxers are, but we are in Hall 4!!
Look forward to seeing you!
Margot

I would love to see any of the champdoggers who are there on Thursday. I will be Womanning/dogging the Norwegian Elkhound Discover Dogs booth (among the hounds).
Will have my baby Lexi who will be 6 months and 1 day old, her Mum Jozi (trying to wear her out before Sunday, so she is not as over enthusiastic as she can be :D), and I am taking a freinds bitch of around 18 months. The daughter and her boyfriend are taking me, and have got a doggy freind to help me too.
I will be on the benches on Sunday of course with Jozi showing in Open and Tula her Grandma, now 9 in Veteran Bitch :)

brainless-i'll try my best to get to meet you ---not before time :) will the baby be with you on thursday then ????

Yep!!! Decided as she is such a confident bagage, and because her first show is St Pats, that a day at Discover dogs should well and truly ground her in show atmosphere :D

Terriers on Sunday, worse luck, and we're not even first in the ring, so it will be a crush. Thursdays are best - reasonably quiet.

What's your time-slot on the DD stand, Brainless?

Hi,
dont know if this question has been asked before, sorry if it has, i'm very interested in going to crufts, probably to late now to go this year, i've watched alot of it on the tv but my question is, is there a certain day(s) that vistitors can go, like a public day or is it open to anyone?, how much do the tickets normally retail out at and who would i need to contact so i could get a ticket, either for this year or next year, obviously i would contact them nearer the time for next years show, :)

Steph if you log into KC sight you can find out if there is any tickets left. I can't wait (something to look forward to) Bradleys going in kennels so that he doesn't get bored allday by himself. (he got out of his crate yesterday, he was sat at the door when I got home with a box of tissues in his mouth cheeky whatnot)

Date 12.02.04 10:41 UTC
Steph it says you can pay at the door!! I may go after all as i thought we would have been moving but alas more problems grrrrr :( But at least i can go now :) providing my husband takes me .

Steph, the whole show is fully open to the public on all four days. Visitors just turn up and pay to get in at the door. The tickets to view in the main ring are the only ones that sell out.
:)

ALL DAY. Aiming to get there by 10am, and probably willleave 3.30 or after the rush at 4.30 depending on how Daughter and boyfriend are enjoying (or otherwise) their day!

Brainless, please,
please,
please tell us what you'll be wearing on the day, or an ID badge or something, because I have no desire to get punched on the nose by irate strangers who take offence when I ask them if they are 'Brainless'!
:D

Click on my name, and in my profile click on webstie and page entitled Welcome has two photos of me :D I think it uhnlikley you will see anyone else there with elkies. The firend coming with me is a member of CD and knows my moniker!!! :D As does my daughter.

:D lol @ JG ~ I was thinking the same.
"hello you must be brainless?" can you imagine what response you'd get if it was the wrong person. :D :D

Looks like there will be quite a few of us there on the Thursday.
Our Vallhunds are being Discovered all day on the Thursday so if anyone wants to visit us!!

Oh what fun, if we visit each other people will wonder whether the Vallhunds legs got stretched from being pulled about, or whether the Elks wore their legs down from waling there all day :D :D

I'm there Thrusday and Friday. Not personally on the Discover Dogs stand for Yankees, but supplying a lot of the decor, including Stars n Stripes Waistcoats for the personnel, flower arrangements, bows etc! If you get an OD of Red White and Blue it is partly my fault! ;) .

hi Everyone,
i have got two tickets for Sat but as my hubby is working Im trying to find someone to go along with me. im allready worried about it though, it will be the first time I have seen a show and I have no idea what to wear (typical woman I know :) ) Please can someone give me a bit of advice??????????
Good luck to everyone who is showing and hopefull I will be able to get along and maybe even say hello to some of you off here.
Luv and good Luck
Lou

Keep the clothing lightweight, wear layers, it is usually cold early in the morning but gets very hot as the day goes on and you don't want to carry too much, won't manage all that shopping if you do :)
Most importantly wear very comfy shoes, even with these your feet will throb like mad at the end of the day :)
Enjoy your day

Have just bought a tool box on wheels for food, booze, doggy food, dog leads, treats etc.... save carrying it all - and with any luck & a couple of bungee cords, we can carry the folding chairs as well!!! Am not sure about taking the grooming table...... there will be other Aussie owners with them and maybe we can scrounge some space - we're going to have to do a practice "load" I think!!!
Getting quite excited about it all....... - do I dye my hair to match Loki's copper bits????
Margot

Ooh, definately go for the copper bits!!

Margot, If you've got booze im benching under 'P' lol
woops wait no im not!!! ;) Mums there!!!!
Rox

Sorry Emma, but you'll be entirely responsible for the smooth running of CD while we're away ;) ... if there's a problem, just say we're in a meeting. (That's what I always do!)
:D
Hi Emma. I'm not at Crufts 'til Friday (going down on coach overnight) so I'll be around to give you a hand ;) (at least 'til I decide to have a sleep mid-afternoon)
