Hey!  I have a 2 y/o siberian husky that loves to chew my sheets and comforters!  If he is left home alone he will go out of his way to eat sheets and comforters and will carry clothes onto the bed but not chew them including socks.  He also chews on the wooden arm rests of our couch.  Any ideas on getting him to stop chewing??  Thanks,  Kurt Dyer.  Kurt@ProjectQ.org  Milwaukee, WI

Close the doors to the bedrooms and lounge and leave him with something like a stuffed Kong toy (hollow cone-shaped durable toy), treat ball, chew toys etc.  Keep back some of his daily food ration for this and pick them up when you return so as to maintain their novelty value.

      Why get a siberian if you are concerned about the damage he keeps doing. A sibe will do what a sibes gotta do. You could close the doors to your bedroom but i  sure he ll find a way of getting in there unless its locked. If you do that how about letting him then have one sheet in the area he s allowed in so he s got no reason to want yours. I often get Bandit new toys or make new toys to keep his interest cause they easily get bored. He also gets now 2, 30 min walks a day. About chewing the couch a friend of mine said to me to put v hot curry powder on anything he chews with a squirt of strong perfume so when he next trys to chew it he ll get a taste of the curry powder and associate that taste with the perfume. Then you can just squirt the perfume on what you don t want to be chewed. I don t know if this works as i ve never tried it but my friend swears by it. hope this helps you. love Xanthe & Bandit

Nope tried tobasco sauce, mustard, lemon juice, curry powder etc and my sibes still ate my hi fi unit, skirting boards, chewed kitchen cupbards, holes in walls, dog runs, stair spindles, stair gate, patio door lever, settee, phone cable x5 .................

he he he! You ve gotta love them. Bandits got such an innocent face when i find what he s done. So far Bandit has eaten my carpet my friends carpet all my knickers if he finds them, my laundary basket, the bin, my bed. He trys making love with my tigger teddy my bed and my pillows(i have to change them daily just incase) Bless him!! Also whenever                             my brother comes round Bandit gets so excited he wees all over him. He doesn't do this to anybody else?! Any ideas why.
