I was walking my dogs today ( Newfs ) and i was approached by a lady who has 2 rottie type crosses, she came over to say hello as she told me that she had seen my dogs being walked before, her dogs were lovey and friendly and they all had a great game, we walked on round the park chatting, then out of the blue she asked if she could use my charlie on both her girls.
She said that she knew charlie was entire as she felt him while stroking him.
I must admit i was pretty shocked at this , how many times do you go round touching up peoples dogs?
I said no , but she started to tell me that she had used a newf before on her girls and that the puppies were lovely , she then said that they last time she bred one of her dogs she got £200 per puppy and she thought this time if she bred both she would make double the money and was willing to give me a puppy from each litter.
Well at this point i laughed and said there is no way that i will help bring puppies into the world just for money , the answer is no and that is final.
With this she told me that it was my loss and that she would find a stud dog anyway.
Can you believe it cheeky bit*h

How very odd to go around touching up other peoples dogs. A fair amount of cheek to and I bet it pays off financially too. Sad very sad :)

A few years ago when walking our since departed English Bull Terrier a car screeched to a stop beside us and a bloke jumped out and asked if he could use him at stud to his bitch, since he hadn't seen many male bullies about and had spied ours walking along and thought he'd be ideal!
This dog was an absolute sweetie, but had been a rescue and had a very bad start in life, plus had been plagued all his life with a skin condition and was congenitally deaf! Hubby explained to this bloke that it wasn't on, since this dog was not fit to be bred from and explained why, but the bloke thought all these problems didn't matter and still tried to persuade us to let him be used, offering us all sorts of cuts from the litter including pups or cash or both :o
Needless to say, hubby eventually lost the rag and told him where to go, but no doubt the bloke found a stud somewhere else :( At the time we just couldn't believe someone could be so irresponsible as to stop a dog in the street to ask for its services!!

My friend has a farming neighbour who has plagued her to use her male Elkhound on his Border Collie bitch, and when she had bitches he wanted her to use his Collie male (who has a vile temperament, but is now castrated). Wehn his little Collie bitch is in season he lets her roam, and she often comes into her garden, and she has to keep checking for her before allowing her boys out!!!

Its remarkable what people will do for money isnt it. I knew a man who's jackrussel cross had pups to a collie (they even looked like collies), but he proceeded to dock them and then sell them at a horse fair at 4 weeks old whilst they were still small enough to pass as terriers. I really hate to imagine they're fate, but greed possess's some people, it's disgusting. Glad you stuck to your guns !
Hi Peanuts,

A few years back I had someone call me wanting to use my Weimaraner stud on a Rhodesian Ridgeback. I said no way of course. But she was quite persistant and said she had bred the two breeds together. I told her not a chance, and she said she would find one from somewhere else.
Know how you feel and good that you did not say yes.

Once I was walking with our whippet he's a very pretty whippet and lots of people think he's a girl, but a white van pulled up and the driver put his head out and said " I've got a dog if you want me to use him on your bitch" to which I replied "i'd love to but I think his balls might get in the way" , he then sped away engulfing us in a cloud of black smoke I think he felt a bit silly lol.
