Ok, due to popular request here it is - the Champdog's Summer Goddess Programme. Amaze the milkman with your comely figure, healthful glow and inner calm ;) . It's time to kick box the flab, get fruity and say hello to total gorgeousness. :D

A word of warning - before you sign up bear in mind that if you drop out any time between now and the end of the programme you'll be required to donate £10 to a charity of your choice. :)

The programme starts Sunday 15th February. This gives you a week to mentally prepare, research your diet/fitness regime of choice, and scoff every remaining bar of chocolate in the house. The programme ends on the first day of summer - 21st June.  This means that the 25th of April is our midway point - you should have reached half your target weight by then. To mark these days you will be obliged to venture out with a friend or partner and put being a goddess into practice. More on this later. ;)

So, how the hell do we do it?!

Firstly, you need to decide which diet works best for you - whether it's counting calories, joining Weightwatchers or just cutting out the sweet stuff. Secondly, you need to weigh yourself on a decent set of scales this week to find out your existing weight. Thirdly, you need to identify a realistic target for June.

Finally, you need to decide how you're going to increase your exercise at least three times per week. This could be anything - extra dog walks or super-brisk dog walks for at least 20 minutes duration being the obvious.

To keep you motivated we're going to have a virtual weigh-in every Sunday.

Ok girlies - if you want to join the Summer Goddess Programme fill in your details below, and give your yoga mat an airing in preparation for next Sunday!

Attention everybody - Summer Goddess (and God) news flash!!

To keep you motivated during our first week of deprivation, there will be a Mystery Prize awarded to the person who loses the most weight during our first seven day period. So - make a note of what you weigh on Sunday 15 February (the official start of our programme) and again on Sunday 22 February.

To make it fair, weigh yourselves without shoes and with as few clothes as possible (bearing in mind that Boots chemists may be a bit sniffy about full nudity. ;) ).

Rest assured, the prize will help to bring out your inner goddess (or god!) ;)

The winner will have to PM me their address, but we'll sort it out later.

Good luck people! :)
- By jakieboy [gb] Date 11.02.04 20:00 UTC

Hi there
I'm hoping this is the kickstart I need to get my godess figure back again ( Not bl**dy likely tho) lol. But I'm definitely willing to give it a shot. I don't actually own scales at the moment so I'll trot out on Sat and get my self some. Hmm on reflection Sunday really isn't the best time for me to start dieting it's the OH birthday. I'll just have to take him out for a slap up meal on Sat night. I'm sure he'll understand he has every other time I've been on a dreaded diet lol. (Oh and it saves me having to think up a good excuse not to make him a cake) lol

Ok here we go.

Sorry I've not been very forthcoming with my wieght but I can't bear it.

Current weight:Too much to mention
Height 5'7''
Age 30
Target weight for June 21: Levi weight lol
Diet method :Old weight watchers diet that I lost 5 stone on. (Put it all back on again tho)
Diet weakness (i.e. what's your downfall?):Bread, crisps and cheese, cheese and ham toasties.
Fitness method:Getting my girl who had a puppy 4 weeks ago back into shape for the showing season. Intensive walking and other activities best not mentioed on a public forum  ;)
Fitness target:To feel better about myself and get back into my Levi's. Hmm they stopped making them for me about 3 sizes ago lol.
Most memorable goddess-like moment to date: Probably being about 16 and wearing a black mini skirt and not feeling fat lol.

I apologise to everyone who has been brave enough to post their weight. Hopefully I'll get my ass in gear and want to shout mine out by the end of the Goddess Programme.
Good luck to all you other Gods & Goddess's and hope you all do really well.

Greetings goddesses (and god!)!!

The countdown begins!!!

We've now got approximately 1 hour 20 minutes before we get on the health train to destination gorgeousness. For those of you not being wined and dined by your adoring partners this evening take a couple of minutes to consider how much more healthier you will feel in 20 weeks time if you resist the temptation to disembark en route at Chocolateville. Good luck people - we can do this - and we're going to feel and look darn good as a result!

Tip of the week: Every time you're faced with the dilemma: "Mmmm ...  donuts" ask yourself if you're actually hungry, or just tired, bored, etc.  Do you want the donut or do you want to achieve your goal?

Alternatively, take a large ripe banana and beat yourself around the head with it several times, yelling: "Brown rice! Brown rice! Brown rice!".  This often does the trick.

Finally ... remember, the person losing the most weight this week wins a mystery goddess prize <excited gasp>.

Lettuce commence!! (Sorry, couldn't resist it. :D )

Jo :) :) :)
- By Lokis mum [gb] Date 14.02.04 23:02 UTC
OK Jo -(v-chastened  )  - I've only had the slim line tonic .. the Bombay Sapphire has been put under lock & key :D :D :D

I've even written a note to Adrian, reminding him it's Herbal Life for me at 5.45.a.m. tomorrow morining......
