hi, i am looking for a maltese puppy in the U.K, but i'm having a lot of trouble locating one. does anyone think it would be a good idea purchasing a dog on the internet and having it shipped from the USA?

It would be quicker to keep looking over here, because no dog can enter the UK (even under the Pet Passport scheme) before it is 10 months old minimum.

We are bringing in three dogs from America, but I am sorry with the cost of the whole project I would not buy on line. We know our breeder and one of us has judged a couple of times in America, there are two many risks. We are bringing our in through pet passport. I would definately go out the and choose your puppy.

I am quite exited today we got the first pictures through and they look absolutely fantastic, we are going over in a month or so, but for what it will cost you might as well go over and see a few of the big shows, or try and get hold of some American dog papers, maybe contact the American Kennel club to see if they have a list of reconised breeder and breed clubs
