we live in surrey and are having trouble finding a reasonable priced,local puppy owner.

Ensuring the parent dogs have all relevant health checks should be your primary concern, and price and distance secondary.

Have a look at the Dalmatian Telegraph and click on Puppy List.  Make sure any puppy you buy has been BAER tested and has a certificate guaranteeing its hearing status. There are several reputable breeders in Surrey, but they may not have litters available, so be prepared to travel. Good luck!
