e-mail me on spanishwaterdogs@supanet.com and I'll give you the e-mail of a friend who moved over there just over a year ago.

Sorry, not Canadian either, but I lived there at one time. In Toronto Ontario, and I'm going there on holiday in August. What do you want to know about Canada?

HI,

Dollface is from Canada. She might be able to give you some advice.
I went on holiday to Toronto in '01.
I'd never been on holiday abroad, well you can't really call Poland a holiday can you.
Whereabouts are you going??
It's one hell of a big place you know.
If you're anywhere near Toronto go to the Zoo. I know a lot of people don't agree with zoos but this one is really 'animal friendly'.
I wasn't too impressed with Niagra Falls. Yeh!!!  lots of water.
MY friend and I tended to go to the 'out of the way' places.
We were staying with relatives so they seemed to know what would interest us.
How long are you staying?
We were there for 2 weeks. It would have been good to stay for a couple of months. That was okay with the people we were staying with but I'd left three kids at home!!!!!

Wherever you go it will be a fantastic experience.

Good luck and enjoy yourself.

sorry i have'nt replied i have had pc problems agin but hopefully its sorted now.
in july we are going to canada for 2 weeks to stay with my hubbys relations, i am worried firstly about getting in.
hubby and i have the same surnames on our passports but our two kids aged 8 and 10 from a previous marraige still have their birth names.
i was told that i may encounter problems with the canadian authorities???
Also when we are there are main place of stay is in hamilton ontario with a 3 day stay in niagara falls, our hotel is the sheraton fallsview? wondered if it was recomended?
finally i am very interested in the canadian natives/ indian tribes.
i have been told about reservations to visit and pow-wows but cant find out any info on the internett about this or when the pow-wows are.
seriously im not mad???just very interested in this culture and hope to see this when we are there.

Check with the passport office but I'm almost sure the children now have to have their own passports from birth.

You will be there during Pow - wow season, well at least in California it is anyway which is where I've been to a few with my Miwuk friend Koko, you should see advertisments around the place for them usually at the weekend.
