Hello to all,
My French Bulldog is 4 1/2 months old....very active and can jump off the
couch but will not even make attempts at jumping on to the couch......
despite me having put different treats up there etc.- hope this doesn't sound
crazy but I've had small dogs before and they always seem to settle fairly soon
in a special place on the couch that is theirs....you know where they have
their cushion, blanket, bones and favourite toys.....was wondering if any of you
had ever had this experience...I mean he has his stuff all over the place
and with my Son being handicapped and all the poor dog is close to being
stomped on.....anyone got answers...or suggestions...would be appreciated.
Tks.

Dont know if this is at all helpful,  but Purglet (who cannot Jump high due to health problems) has a little footstool beside the sofa, whcih she uses to hop up with.  Thinking about this, my friend who has Frenchis also has a footstool by her sofa, which the Frenchis seem to use in getting up and down.  Perhaps as a breed they dont do jumping?
bye

At 4 1/2 months old I would be concerned that she was not doing herself any good by jumping on and off furniture. She is only a baby and could easily damage herself.I don't even let my boys do stairs until they are mature and theres less impact in going up and down stairs than in juming on and off something which is 2 or 3 times her height.JMHO
