I would like to know if anyone has any tips about choosing a puppy. I didn't have to choose my last one thank goodness. I don't know how you can choose a 3/4 week old puppy, it is going to be so stressful. The breed is a Golden Retriever.I would be grateful for any help.

I would say it depends on what you want from the puppy. If you want a show dog then I would be advised by the breeder. If you want a pet then I would look for one that is neither too bold or to shy.It should be confident without be pushy.Just watch the pups play and you should get an idea of their personalities.Personally I would prefer to pick apuppy at a slightly older age since I think at 7/8 weeks their personalities have developed that much more.
