Hi i Wonder if anyone can help. my german shepherd mitzy maybe pregnant she was mated on the 19th of jan and they only had 1 mating and tied he would not mate her again after that. She did still bleed a little for about 1week after the mating. My problems i have at the moment Is that she wont eat her food, yet she will eat chicken, She is also cleaning her vulva alot she but does not have any discharge, Her vulva looks like its back to its normail size maybe just a little bigger.
Her teats near her back legs are getting really droopy, She is sleeping loads and has become very loving and wants to be near me at all times even when i am in bed she wants to be on the bed next to me she is drinking normal and going out to do her business as usual.
Is this normal behaviour of a pregnant female or do this hppen with phantom pregnancies aswell.
I would be so greatful for any advice or information.

It does sound like she could be in pup. I would just feed her what she wants to eat. Also with my girls they sometimes wont eat first thing in the morning but would eat their breakfast say around 11:30am so just adapt to her. It will be a good thing to feed her quality meats. Phantoms are very similar to the early stages of pregnancy anyway. If you really want to make sure she is in pup you can have an ultra sound at around 21 days.

thanks guys she has had some of her food she had it about 9 oclock she had a piece of chicken and would not eat anything else until 9 this evening and she ate a little of her food and then went out for her walk came back and went to sleep after her cuddle.
She also keeps scratching her belly think it must be because her fur getting thinner underneath and its annoying her
