Hi folks, just a small question. My 6Month old yellow lab is constantly humping his blanket nothing else just the blanket. My question is do i keep on at him to stop or just let him get on with it? It doesn't really bother me if he is going to grow out of it but i don't want to ignore it if at a later date everyone says, oh no you should have put a stop to that.
Any suggestions from owners with randy dogs greatly appreciated. x

My mother's Golden has humped his blanket every night (only at bedtime) for the past 12 years. It's the only thing (and the only time) he humps. It seems harmless!

Willis pulls the throw off the sofa, organises it into a ball shape, then fires it under his stomach using his front legs with such force that it goes straight through the back ones and across the room, he then goes to hump it and its disappeared

My 6 month old Boxer bitch Saffy humps cushions all the time, whilst my 4 year old Dally dog has never humped anything other than other males he never tries it with bitches.  Iv decided that Saffy thinks she a male and that Max is actually homosexual.

My 4 month black lab does just the same. If he gets very excited he will hump people's legs too which we're stopping him doing, but we've just let him get on with the 'blanket loving'! Not sure if this is sensible or not but someone will be along shortly to discuss I'm sure...
