Our puppy is about 15/16 weeks old now and we have had her 3 weeks only had her out for a week as she was a pound pup and never had her jags.
She is great at everything and is great off the lead in the park but when she goes out walks near cars she just freezes and wont budge.  I feel as if I have to drag her along and she isnt enjoying her walk.  I know the more she is near cars the better it will be but I just feel so bad for her.
Any ideas how to get her used to them more?

Hello there,
I had the same problem with Barney (now 6 months old).  He sat down and refused to budge if a car came along and often cowered against the fences and walls at the side of the road.  He didn't even care for parked ones other than mine, which he was quite keen to get into. I never forced him to walk or dragged him along, but let him see that I was ignoring the vehicles.  We sat and watched from the comfort of the front room, the vehicles passing by (though we are on a quiet road) and sat at the end of the path or in the front garden doing the same thing, not going for a walk, just watching.  What finally worked for Barney was the park.  We have an open park close by with no fences to the roadside.  From here he could see cars going by, but be far enough away to feel safe, whilst walking. He isn't bothered much at all now by vehicles, but he still flinches sometimes when something big and loud passes. Hope that this helps a little.  All the best
Lorna
