I have a rescued german sheperd dog who's 6yrs old. He was ill treated by his previous owner and unfortunatley he was not socialisied with other dog's. I have had numerous german sheperds but never had i had this problem. i am unable to take him out to the park because of other dogs. He is a loving well mannered dog who show's plenty of love for me and my hubby. i was thinking of getting a german sheperd pup later this year but need help with controling my dog's temper with other's.

Some dogs just never do adjust to being with other dogs in a social way - maybe your lad is one of them?  Socialising an adult dog should be handled VERY carefully as it's very easy to push a dog that tad too far which results in regressing two steps rather than making progress :(  There's a lady in Somerset/North Devon whose name escapes me at the moment who has a GSD called Stan (cummon you lot - you know who I mean - I'm blaming my age :)) who specialises in re socialising dogs who've gone off the rails.
