what age can you breed from a bitch until, is it 8 or 9? when do the kennel club accept registartions until? do the dlrc accept registrations of a bitch over this age? (my bitch is 8 1/2 and was mated accidentally, will i be able to register the pups?)

I'm afraid you won't be able to register the pups with the Kennel Club, because I believe the litter would have to be born before the bitch is 8 years old. Don't bother with any other registry - it is meaningless. You would simply be wasting your money. Sorry.

The KC can accept registrations from a bitch over 8, but only in exceptional circumstances, and you have to have written permission from them before the mating takes place, having supplied written explanations and a Vets certificate.  You can register anything at all with the DLRC, but why waste the money, it has no value?

At 8 and a half years old I'd be more concerned about the health & welfare of my bitch & if she was fit enough to carry a litter & rear them, than if I could register them.
However she obviously has been mated now & unless she goes for a misalliance jab soon after the matings there isn't much you can do now.
Please ensure you keep her excercise up during her pregnancy to maintain her fitness & minimise the chance of problems during whelping.
Good luck.  :)
