prepare to be offended :D Why do you have an apostrophe in "autobiography's" and why is it mis-spelled? :d :D :D

LOL @ Tohme! :D :D
On this subject I was given the book "Eats, shoots and leaves" for Christmas - hysterical!
:)

Yes I have that one too as I am somewhat obsessed with grammar, punctuation et al!
When we were in school we were taught about subject, predicate, object, nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, pronouns, collective nouns etc etc. We could actually construct a sentence without the use of "you know" and "know what I mean" and "yeah" "right" etc etc etc.
Nearly forgot the ubiquitous "basically" :D
Sigh :D

The trouble is now that even the teachers haven't been taught the rules of English grammar and spelling

, so the poor children don't stand a chance. :(

Going to be really boring here and say that my "hobby" is Staffords . Especially the whole "history" of how they came about etc and I love the showing side of things too and like to keep up to date with that .
O and my Health and safety course too
If you had asked me about 5 years ago I would probably have said clothes and drinking ;)
A sure Sign that I am definately getting "over the hill" and closer to the big 4-0

Oh being 40's nothing at all (says she who cried the night before). Just have a huge party and invite lots of much older people than you and then you feel very young :D :D You're only as old as the man that you feel :D

My horses. I just love them. I love grooming them, riding, standing in the field chatting to them, fussing them, learning about them, talking about them - the lot. And my very favourite thing is sitting on the bench outside my house, looking at them grazing or rolling in the field and seeing how happy they are - I just adore them :)

I just love your post Chloe.......in fact I had a tear in my eye when I read it. You obviously adore your horses and put it in words so well. I feel the same about my dogs......nothing is nicer than looking out of the window watching them in the garden when they are off guard. Aren't we lucky.......I certainly think so...

:) I agree - very lucky
I am feeling particularly happy this week as I have managed to get my chestnut mare's "owner" to sell her officially to me. She had been abandoned for years, and was wild and would rear up at anyone who went near when I took her on. Now she's 100% mine, is 100% to catch, traffic, farrier and today came out for a 2 hour hack with me on my horse and my friend riding her - and she is so brilliant my 9 year old daughter has started to ride her out on hacks aswell.
Even better, she's a full bred arab, is only 18 (I was told 26!) and is the nicest natured mare I have ever known underneath the stroppy exterior :D :D

R we twins? You sound just like me. I can sit in the field all day watching my horse, the dogs love the open space too!!.
The other liveries on the same yard wonder if I'm 'all there' but I don't care, its not just about having a horse to ride, its about loving the horse for his character and I feel proud of my horse whatever he's doing and he makes me smile and definately brings me plenty of happiness.

Well mine used to be Dogs, Sewing (soft furnishings, no dress making) Needlepoint, Embroidery, Reading, Writing, decorative crafts, but for the past few years any of the above (apart from Dogs )which cannot be manipulated into a fund raising thing (for Dogs, of course) had dropped by the wayside.

I decided a few weeks ago to take up 'Glass Painting' as I don't really have a hobby as such.
I have looked on the 'net and everywhere and I can't find any classes.
I have a load of 'Paul Masson' wine carafes. NO I'm not a plonky. It's just really nice wine.
I am planning to learn how to paint glass so that I can give all my family/friends a personal present for Xmas this year.
A carafe & glass painted with their favourite theme.
