Do any of you have any idea of the signs of Leukemia in dogs, we are taking our Maltese for blood tests tomorrow and that is one of the things the vet is going to test for. She is losing more weight and seems a bit on the quiet side and is off her food the last couple of days. Many Thanks for any help.

One of my old labs passed away with it 2 years ago.
Initally he went to the vet because his eyes looked very strange, the whites were bulging, apart from that he looked fine for a 12 year old.
2 weeks later he was diagnosed with leukaemia, and during that 2 week period he had gone downhill rapidly, he lost loads of weight, he was very lathargic, we could feel small lumps down the back of his thighs that I swear were not there a month before.
so the only thing we could do for him was to pts and let him rest in peace.
Fingers crossed this won't be the case for your dog.
