i have a 9 month old boxer( louis) she has'nt had a season yet, she has no signs only that the last couple of days while out on our walks when she's been playing with males she keeps putting her back end in their face, then they try to mount her but she either sits down or runs off with the other dog in tow, is this just play or something more? i am getting a bit worried about letting her off in case i have missed something but she has showed no bloody discharge or swelling, she has a white discharge which she has had since a puppy the vet did a swab and the advice was its vaginnitus which should clear up after her first season, is the way young bitches play i am only use to males.

I would think her hormones are starting to kick in. If she is keeping herself clean you may not see any blood for several days. Kepp a close eye on her. If you're not sure take her to the vet and ask them to check her out.

They can start to flirt a month before hand or even more. I'd start keeping a close eye on her now, bet she wont be long!

LOL yea she was acting like a right little tease i would'nt mind but the other dog was 13 years old!

just thought i'd let you know you were dead right tonight she has a swollen vulva so it was her season coming that was responsible for her flirting, and has luck would have it the fence blew down in the back garden from the storm so thats not going to be very helpful so guess what i'll be doing first thing? yes out in the garden in my dressing gown with louis on the lead, typical is'nt it!

silly question but tonight she has been trying to chew everything even my table which is really unlike her does it have anything to do with the season?
