We have had three border collies in twenty years two have died old, happy and well loved. I wanted a new puppy and i have noticed the red cherry colour.we would like a pet for the family and a working dog. One breeder told us that the red one were more flighty and scatty. can anyone hel;p with us finding as bitch pup and this piece of information.
We have always had bitches we like to give them one or two litters before we neuter them.

im no BC expert but as with any breed if you are thinking of breding from her in the future make sure you get the best quality puppy make it clear to the breeder this is your intention.
also as with any pup make sure the parents of the pups have had all the relavent health checks/tests

I have had both black and white and red and white and didn't find my red and white anymore scatty.  I don't know where abouts you are in the country but could you get to Crufts next month, you could then see the different colours and talk to the owners and breeders.  Border Collies are on Saturday 6th March and it is held at the NEC at Birmingham.
