My mum used to make the most wonderful, wonderful small (but not too small) chocolate cakes when i was a child..... very chocolatey and very yummy, with a very moist inside and a very slightly crunchy top ..... sadly when she died a few years ago, the recipe died with her....guess she must have made the cakes from memory and never written down her recipe. And even as an adult i never made them, she always did! I think she used either baking powder or bicarb. in them.
They were like choccie muffins really, but not made like muffins with a battery tupe mixture, hers was just like a sponge mix. Ah, memories..... :)

Just remembered :D
Bicarbonate of Soda is very effective for soothing Nappy Rash - even when its really severe and there's little unaffected skin.
Just put a tablespoon in a bowl of warm water and let babby soak his botty and have a kick. Afterwards don't rinse and gently pat dry. This can be done as often as necessary.
Regards
Dill
