Hi
I am moving to Dumfriesshire next month and am looking for a good vet for my dogs and cat. I dont' mind travelling to get to a good one (even to Carlisle), but as I dont' know the area I'm in need of some help. If anyone can recommend anyone and can they say why they rate them? - or tell me if there are any I shouldn't go to please let me know!
I feed a raw diet which most vets don't like anyway, plus I don't vaccinate. Ha ha! A vet's nightmare! I would like somewhere which does holistic stuff if at all possible, but I know I'm pushing it there!
Thanks for all your help in advance

Hi Jen
I used to live in Dumfrieshire and there is a very good vets based in Thornhill, who also have a surgery in Dumfries itself. My breeder uses them, and I know that she uses holistic medicines especially for vaccinations. (I think she has it sent to her) I'm pretty certain that this particular vets don't do holistic stuff, so I'm probably not being much help. I do know that they are very animal friendly and are pretty good with payments and things though. If you want their address pm me and I'll get it to you.

We use the Thornhill vets for our farm and they are also good for pets but I don't know if any of them practice holistic medicine.
