Had a very busy day today backwards and forwrds to school. Well had to go back to school for 4:15 to pick my eldest daughter up from music club, when i got home and collected and two other daughters from my neighbours, i started to cook tea, walked in the living room to discover my 8 yrold on the sofa in tears asked her why she was crying she said 'don't know' later on she started again asked her what was wrong and she said ' you took ages to get back from school and i thought you was gonna die'
bless her heart was i chocked or what

Oh poor thing! It's horrible when they realise we're not immortal - Jake goes through little spells of 'doom' where he worries about us dying and stuff but the next day he's forgotten about it.

Wee soul ! Its terrifying how we go from one task to the next and miss connecting with the kids isnt it? Stinkfoot has just told ne during hair washing that some little rotter is bullying her at school again because shes the 2nd tallest girl in the class and wears specs, but she didnt want to bother me as I was busy! Theres a horrible childhood moment when youre about 8 and you realise your parents are mortal. I used to sob in bed at night because I worried my Mum would die before I was tall enough to reach the keyhole on the front door.. fortunately it passes quick as you hurtle into puberty.

well had a great night she slpet, but didn't think she would. She is such and emotionable child cry's a lot to films like Spirit (but then i did aswell :-D), and even if we tell her off for something she runs upstairs and hides, bless her heart. But well things look like normal today just got to go and drag them all out of bed for school :-)

Ahhh. Poor little one !

My Flo was a very sensitive girl at that age and still is now but at coming up to 12 the hormones are starting to kick in and the senstive is starting to be replaced by the stroppiness ! :D

my grandson got told off at school for messing about in the dinner hall. he started crying and said * i want my mummy* that choked me up because we have raised him since my son was killed and he has never called me that before.
