i live in staffordshire.
i have looked this act up and am unsure, i cannot find the list.
is the staffordshire bull terrier listed in the dangerous dogs act 1991?
i need this info for my pet insurance.

Providing you really have a Stafordshire Bull Terrier then that is fine they are not on the list. The problem has occurred because some Stafordshire Crosses have been bred to look like the Pitbull Type and they are banded. People with these crosses or Irish SBT are harassed a fair bit still but there is a decline in the number of dogs being seized, either that or the media are fed up with reporting it.

No they are not listed and your insurance should know this .
Only dogs who appear to "look" like pitbulls or fighting dogs are listed.
