Quick question peeps
can I now not enter Novice if I had three first place wins today ? Or do they have to be first places at different shows ?

No any show. Shame.

That is you out of Novice now.  If you had won Minor Puppy and Puppy classes then you could still enter Novice, but once you win 3 classes above puppy you are no longer eligible.

Nah got to move on now, Gus will be playing with the big boys now, and don't forget three CC's he's and he's a Champion. (Soon very soon)

I have sent some entries off this week which included some Novice and some Maiden . What do i do about those - do we abstain from those classes when we get there ? One was sent off on the closing date so will that one be ok to still enter in ?

You are OK up to 7 days before the closing date.

You could actuall7y enter these classes at any show where the clsing date is up to 7 days after the date of the show where he won out.  so any shows you enter with entreies closing up to 6 days from now you can still enter these classes.

This is because people don't have crystal balls.  If say a show closed for entreis in 10 days timne, and you had been a real early bird, you would then have to ring up or write in and change it.

That is how come you will often have dogs with CCs still in Post Graduate at their next shows, or Champiuons still competing in the Limit class, for several shows.  This is also the reason why a dog can win more than the allowed nu7mber of classes, say more than five Post Grads or 7 limits.

I know I have seen schedules where they tell you to include all wins up to a certain date but \i cant find anything on any of these schedules :(
If the closing date for the next show was 23 Jan and the show is for 8 Feb can we still enter then ? But not any later than that? Sorry for sounding a thicko

You can enter the Novice class at any show where the entries closing date is 18th of January or before :D :D  Oops I said after in my previous post, duh!

Just looked at a shedule and the rule reads:

5. In estimnating the number of awards won all wins up to and including the 7th day before the date of closing of entries shall be counted when entering for any class.....

So you only count the wins before 18th of january if you were entering a show where entries closed today (yeah I know entries don't close on a Sunday :) )

So todays wins will only exclude you from Novice in shows where the entries close after 31st of january.
