At the moment my girl, a 12 week old german shephard, is being fed 3 times a day, on pedigree chum and ped chum small bite mixer biscuts.
She has now just completed her 2nd jab and has been chipped.
I have been reading loads of views about, how pedigree chum is the worse food for any breed of dog.
As i feed my girl with ped im now worried about this.
She has put on plenty of weight, her stools are now firm and her coat is beginning to shine.
Any advice will be much welcomed.
thanks sam
Different foods suit different dogs - and owners!
Research your chosen food so that you know exactly what it contains, or as much as you can find out anyway, and if you are still happy with it and your dog looks* healthy then stick with it.
*Has anyone noticed the shampoo etc adverts now say "healthy looking hair" as if to say it looks healthy but isn't really?

If it suits her then it's fine! I've used both Pedigree Chum and Spillers Prime with my puppies in the past. Some foods which are digested quite happily by one dog can cause problems with another.
Best wishes, John
Hi Sam, both my dogs are fed on Butchers complete, and both are doing well on it; so if it ain't broke, don't fix it :D
Everyone has different ideas about which is the best food for dogs, but IMHO the best food for your dog, is the one that suits your dog :)
