Went shopping to stock up on dog food today,at a wholesalers,bought some ped.chum puppy pouches and got told by the assistant " ped.chum is the worst to feed a dog" so I replied "oh really,I mix them with eukanuba at the moment",to which came the reply " oh that makes dogs hyper!"

So I asked her if she had a dog and the reply was "yes a staff and I feed him Nature diet,that's the only food to suit a dog."

Then looking at Spice who is only now coming up to 14weeks old she asked " Do you take her to agility classes,I bet she is very good on all the jumps!"

she might not have a clue how old dogs can do agilty at, but shes clued up on her dog food!

Yes I have to admit she may have a point regarding the food! I have spent sometime researching it today! and have come to the conclusion that the breeder's advice may not have been the right one,as it was on the breeders sheet to use a mix of ped.chum and eukanuba,we will be introducing a more natural product ,gradually from now on. :)

Yes I'd say she's right about the food.  It's not generally considered to be in the dog's best interests to mix tinned food with complete.

i heard paul burrow say that the queen feeds her corgis on pedigree chum,i feed mine on the dry food  though they if i gave them pedigree pouch i would mix it with a bit of small bite  they also get there telly bic and treats and raw carrot  .it would be interesting to no what brand is really the best i use to use eukanuba the green bag the nearst shop is so far away i use now pdigree chicken and nugget dry

yea i too agree about the food she was probably just trying to make conversation re,the agility she may have thought she had offended you over the food.
