Hi, me again,
My Dobe is 8 months old and was clean :( Now, she has started wetting her bed again. I don't think its deliberate as she 'dribbled' a bit when sleeping on the floor by my side. It seems to just drip out when she's asleep. We had this once before a while ago. We had her tested for an infection and the vet gave her antibiotics whilst he waited for the results. They came back clear and the problem went away. She is about 18 days into her first season. Any ideas please ???

It is not that unusual for a bitch to leak a bit when in season, particularly when they are young. Strange I have a bitch that was spayed a 5 years and she is now 10 and she still leaks a bit at the time she would have been in season, have no idea why, have had elderly bitches who leaked after being spayed but never had one that does it only when her seasons would have been.

Thanks Jackie,
I was worried when it happened before when she was about 5 months,as the vet said if it continued she'd have to have exploratory surgery! My previous Dobe was spayed and leaked almost from that day on. She lived on Propalin for years. As Lola isn't spayed, I had thought it must be serious. There haven't been any upsets in her life so I didn't think it was emotional.
I don't know! What with bed wetting, first season and Dremelling!!! I feel like a full time mum all over again :D
:) Thanks :)

Annieee,
I found that the site below has some very good information on incontinence. My bitch did not leak, but right before she went into season (at about 8 months) she wee'd in the house a couple of times, which was long after she was housetrained.
