So sorry to hear about your rat, i know how you feel, we also have rats and over the years have had to have two PTS, it is no less a loss even thought it's only a rat, they are still part of the family.
think of you, {{{{{hugs}}}} .

So sorry to hear about your loss Donna. We had our doggy pts last year and it's just awful, so I know how you must be feeling. We said we'd never get another one, but here we are, having collected our new puppy last week having a ball and smiling again. Whatever the pet, they're yours and they become part of the family.
Take care and hope you feel a bit better soon.
Earl x

I feel for you. It doesn't matter the species, we still (or should) get fond of them and mourn when we lose them. I keep looking at my poorly guineapig and wonder how much longer ...
:(

So sorry to hear of your sad news :( Any pet you have no matter what you have is part of your family and it hurts when you lose them.

I cried for 2 days when my rat "Druid" died! They are such affectionate little characters, its no wonder its so upsetting.

Aaaaaaaaw I'm soooooo sorry... :( It's never easy no matter what type of animal it is...Our Iguana passed away not that long ago and that even brought tears to our eye's. He loved to be scratched on the head and sit on your shoulders, he loved attention which is weird for a reptile....I too have two rats and one still gets outta of his cage so he gets put into a different cage at night, thats the only time he goes on his adventures :D The lil bratt....
Soooo sorry again :(

Hi Donna, your right pets do bring heartache...But as the old saying goes...Better to have loved and lost....You gave him a good home and lots of love, doesn't matter what species he was, I understand your sadness xxxxxx

Donna,
So sorry. Doesn't matter what it is if you love. Cried buckets over my bird! A friend told me that euthanasia is taking away their pain and making it your own. So true. So hard to bear though.
Keep your chin up
