just wondering (out of nosiness really) how much vets have charged for spaying (of a small dog) ??

Don't know how small is small :) but ours (21kg) cost £125 in the summer.

At a Vetsavers clinic they charge £60 for a bitch spey of any size.

£90.00 for a springer including removal of a dew claw.

£125 for a border collie,inc whipping off hind dew claws, this would include after treatment too!

Where I used to work was about £70 for a small breed such as a JRT. Obviously it can be greatly reduced by the NCDL voucher for those on benefits (goes down to £20). Neutering and vacc clinics do it a lot cheaper than normal vets. Our local neutering clinic charges £60 for bitches, and £40 for dogs, regardless of size and owner income. :)
i had jack casturated ( i know not the same thing but...) back in sept he cost £95 he weighs 13.5kilos, quoted for tess lab £120 ish spay she weighs 30kilos. hope that helps

my vet has said it will cost about £90 for lily, she is in the under 10kg category, but with lily weighing only 5 kg i feel cheated :D i might feed lily 10 times as much as normal to get her nearer 10kg so i get my money's worth ! :)
the £90 includes pain relief and all aftercare
