I am really new to this forum and its given me a lot to think about from food to bringing up a dog. Thankyou. I have just read from a guest that she has bred her gsd without knowing what to do. I have a male westie and my inlaws have a bitch and we thought about breeding but by reading into it there is so much more to it than cute pups at the end including losing your beloved pet. I have decided I will never breed from him and keep him away from the bitch when shes in season. I thought everyhting would be rosy, puppies mum and dad everyone saying oh we will have one now I am saying find a good breeder who knows what they are doing and recommend where I got him. At the end of the day there are so many dogs looking for homes and my next project ( once I've worked on hubby) is to rescue where the dogs are desperate for a home and lots of love.

Bailey - thank you, thank you, thank you.
So many people post about breeding without knowing anything about it, and I've always preached please learn first - I was beginning to doubt my advice!
Enjoy your dogs - and your projects
Best regards
