hi can any 1 offer any advice please we took out our staff puppy for the first time yesterday and while out all he did was cough and like he wanted to bring something up he was fine when we got him home but when we took him out today he did the same he has had all his jabs could it be the reaction to the collar although the collar is not tight in any way it just seemed he coughed the more he pulled on the lead or could be ill but he his not coughing at home i have read that this can happen when staffs get exicited shud i take him to the vets any advice please

Was he pulling at all on the lead ?
Staffys have a tendancy to pull causing them to make a noise like a chokey cough - (cant think what else to describe it as really ) :rolleyes: . Pulling is common in Staffys but if you are sure the collar isnt too tight , take pup along for a check out at the vets - just to put your mind at ease. :)
