Our puppy loves shoes, slippers and gloves, but will quite happily "swap" them for a toy or treat. However, I would love to harness this so that he could do the traditional doggy thing & present my husband with his slippers (or one!) when he comes in. Any ideas? Cathy.
Teach her a command for 'slippers'. Just getting her to pick it up from a short distance first and hand it to you. Gradually increase the distance and when one has come back say something like 'and the other one', showing her what you want. If your husband leaves them all around the house then you will have to teach her 'find slippers'. They love to do it and usually pick it up very quickly. My old dog never needed to be told in the end, just did it when my husband came in.
