A quick question. Is there anyone with a current copy of the KC Book of Affixes, who would be willing to look up a few names for me please?
Thanks for your help. :)

My friend rang the KC with the affix names of her choice and asked them if they were already registered affixes. When I was choosing my peke affix I just went to the KC stand at Crufts and looked through their copy.
Cheeky but effective. :-)

You would be better off contacting the KC direct. Many affixes that have been granted over the years are not included so even if you find one not listed in the directory, it will not follow that it has not been issued. The directory is also published in arrears, so another reason why contacting them direct may be a better option.

If you are going to Crufts go to the Kennel Club stand they will do it all for you and if you want to take your affix out on the day they will do the search and give you a certificate and a 5 generation pedigree of the dog of your choice(that you own) as a bonus. this is subject to the affix being advertised in the Kennel Club Gazzett, they will then inform you that you can go ahead and use the affix and get note paper etc. printed.
Any names in mind yet

Another word of warning. You will need to double check any 5 generation pedigree that you are supplied. I purchased one at the cost of £15 some time ago and it had no less than 20 mistakes in it!!!
Some good information and tips! Thanks for your help guys! :)
